Cleaning of common property is provided once a week (normally every tuesday) by an outside cleaning agency and is included in your rental price. As a tenant you are still responsible (as are other tenants) to keep the common areas and your bedroom clean and tidy. Management will inspect premises on random dates to make sure common areas and rooms are kept to the level agreed in 'Condition Report and 'Items Let with Premises Report'.

A condition report is a document which is completed and signed by the two parties involved (e.g. the landlord and the tenant) on the acceptance of accommodation. It clearly details the condition of the prescribed area (common areas and bedroom) and the items let with the premises at the time of arrival. This document will be then used for comparison when inspections and/or departure occurs, if management finds any damages and/or items missing from premises tenant/s is/are required to pay amount owing immediately.

Smoking is not permitted in any area of the apartment including the building. Smokers must smoke outside at all time. Smoke detectors are fitted in hallways, bedrooms and stairwells and due to their sensitivity smoking is forbidden in these areas.

No car parking provided by Malop Street International, but there is ample private secure car parking all within walking distance.

Malop Street International does not provide an internet connection as part of the rental costs but does provide an ADSL wireless modem (no access wireless cards). However, if tenant(s) desire to have internet connection available in the apartment or in your room this can be arranged but the costs will need to be paid in advance by tenant(s). The reason Malop Street International does not provide internet connection is because Deakin waterfront campus provides a 24hr access lab and is less than a two minute walk away. Previous students have been happy with this arrangement but we like to atleast offer you want we have available.
